Its a good start.

On the first day of this so called weight loss program of mine, i weight in at 77kg. It is recommended that you weigh yourself the first thing in the morning.

For the past one week i've been keeping track of  what i eat and calories consumed, thanks to the internet, there are many sites which have a list of calories for each category of food. The best i think is calorieking.com

I have stopped taking coffee mix, instead i take instant coffee with sweetener.

I found out that the coffee mix, which i used to take regularly at night has 102 calories, now with just black coffee and sweetener its just 5 calories!

I try to consume more water on daily basis.

The only thing that i have failed to do is sleep early... i'm just a night person  lah!

So this morning when i weighed in..my digital weighing machine says "75.2"

That's not much... cos our body weight fluctuates between 1-2kg anyway...but its a good start to me! hahah. ( I need every lil bit of encouragement).

Early resolution.

The new year is just around the corner. Its time to make resolutions. Not this time for me. I had a resolution last night and it began today. I'm gonna loose weight!

People who want to loose weight  would sometimes list down things they are going to do to achieve thier weight loss goal. Instead of that I'm gonna list down things which I did or didnt do that lead to this 76.5 kg.

Before I got married 2 years ago I was in the low of 67-69kg. So..that is my target. I'm gonna use this blog as my progress report.

Now..this is why my BMI says that i'm obese

1. I dont exercise....obvioulsy
2. I dont drink enough water during the day
3. I seldom take breakfast, which leads to bingeing later on.
4. I dont eat enough vege and fruits
5. I dont get enough sleep...suka sangat tidor lambat.
6. I tend to snack at night...pasal tido lambat la.

So...thats bout it. I'm not setting any time frame for the weight loss. I'm gonna see how I progress in the first month...then I'll set targets.

Has Mukhriz shot himself in the foot?

Mukhriz Mahathir might just have shot himself in the foot. While speaking to the press at Parliament yesterday, Mukhriz in responding to Chua Soi Lek's rejection of 'Ketuanan Melayu', had called on the Government to abolish vernacular school system.

The malay dailies of course took the cue and highlighted Mukhriz's call. Utusan splashed their front page with "Sekolah Satu Sistem".

This did not go down well with MCA, MIC and DAP. MIC wants the AG to take action against Mukhriz for sedition as reported in Staronline, DAP led my Lim Kit Siang in his blog, commented that Mukhriz had committed sedition as the Federal Constitution disallows anyone to propose the closing down of Chinese and Tamil schools.

DAP Youth had just lodged a police report against Mukhriz.

Will the police and AG, pursue this matter with vigor as they did against Raja Petra? I doubt they will. It would not be to hard to predict that Mukhriz would then come out to say that he was misquoted by the Press.

Or will the other contenders vying for the position of Umno Youth Chief seize this opportunity to put pressure on police to act against Mukhriz. We'll see how this develope... but before i log off, I chuckled when I read this statement from Muhkriz,

"“If they reject this suggestion, then they should explain why they are against it,” he said. “If you want equal rights then you cannot have a different school system. You cannot have your cake and eat it too,” said Mukhriz."

Why...why..why...its my cake damnit!!

Mind your language

Saturday and Sundays nights are reserved for football. Even if Man United is not playing I'd still watch other games shown. Being a fan of the English league since I was 9 years old, I simply love to hear the commentators. The English are to me the best at live football commentary.

Over the years you tend to pick up certain things from their commentary... things like " Making a meal out of it" and "having a second bite of the cherry."

The English certainly have a way with words, some of which i'm begining to question. Like "You can't have your cake and eat it". I know what it means but the question is.. why not? Hey its  my cake, why cant I eat it? I want to eat my cake...its my cake damn it!

Dr M: Pak Lah to blame for corruption and cronyism in Umno

By Shannon Teoh

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 - Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed today blamed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi for the corruption which he says is rife in Umno.

.........."This was so because even Abdullah was seen to abuse his position and power to help his son and son-in-law's businesses," he stated, referring to such companies as Scomi, in which his son Kamaluddin Abdullah is involved in and ECM Libra, which his son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin is linked to.

Hahahaha... Joke of the month so far... Periuk calling the cerek hitam..hahaha

The Post about nothing...

I'm a big fan of Sienfeld. One of the most memorable episode is when George and Jerry pitch an idea for a sitcom to a network boss. The sitcom is about nothing. So that generally is pembuka kata for this post its about nothing actually.

I just spend the last 30 minutes browsing thru blogs while coping with an irritating runny nose. You know that feeling when a drop of nose fluid suddenly hangs down your lubang hidung? And you go.. do i let drop or should i just wipe it?? I usually let  it drop, somehow its irritating yet quite pleasureable..no?

Anyway...bout the blogs. What is it about people posting pics of the food they eat? Watsup wit dat? I just dont see the point of telling the world "hey I went to this cool restaurant...and they had this to die for dessert!...Like damn cool" wtf!

The trouble with people these days is that they live to eat.  Has anyone noticed that food stuff is getting richer and more expensive nowadays. And people complain when they put on weight.

Oh..here comes another drop....ahhhhhhhhhh...ahhhhhh..ahhhh quite orgasmic actually.

There's a new clown in the Circus

The Home Minister had said the Sin Chew journalist was arrested under ISA because police inestigations revealed that her life was in danger. I say PFFT!

The Home Minister had said this about the decision to ban Hindraf:-

"They exploited racial issues which caused an uprising against the government and created hatred between them and the Malays."

For a while there I thought he was talking about Umno.... For next year's Hari Raya open house (assuming BN still in power lah) I can imagine this " BN Hari Raya Open House All are invited except Hindraf"

And the Home Minister's statement in the Parliament confirms that the there's a new clown in the circus. This is what he said to a question as to why a police beat in Chow Kit was closed down.

"Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said the beat base was located in a dirty area where police faced the possibility of being exposed to contagious diseases. The presence of criminals also posed a threat to the safety of police officers."

The criminals are a threat to police?!!! WTF!! If the police safety were threatened...what about we the public?!! And what contagious deseases?!!

Nice going Bozo!

Photo Bug

For me's birthday, the wife bought me this

Its a second hand 35mm  SLR film camera. I had this baby once, and it got stolen from my house. It's non digital. I swear i take better picture on this baby than my DSLR camera. Somehow its was more exciting and fun taking shots on this camera as compared to a DSLR. The anticipation...of not knowing whether you had the correct exposure when taking the shot... What is price less is when you develope the negatives and see the results...ahhh..

Since I saved money  on my DSLR, I decided  why not get a flash now. I was torn between getting a new lense or a flash....Flash lah, the kit lense is not that bad anyway...and bukannya I'm doing wedding shots or anything.

I'm crossing my fingers that this would arrive tomorrow...

Thanks for the laugh

Its disgruntled ex-deputy president Raymond Tan (left) claimed on Saturday that he had been instrumental in preventing the arrest of party president Yong Teck Lee in June in relation to allegations of corruption.

abdullah ahmad badawi bn and yong teck lee and sappAn English-language daily in Sabah quoted Tan as saying that Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had wanted Yong arrested by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA). This was after Yong spearheaded a no-confidence vote against Abdullah’s leadership.- Malaysiakini.

hahahaha...This Raymond Tan fella ah, so gung ho in defending himself that he let the cat out of the bag..that ACA is not independent and that PM can interfere...hahaha..huuhuu..huu

Best joke of the day...so far.

State of Denial

Something is seriously wrong with the current leadership and his merry men.

Before 8 March elections: the leadership of BN says, We are confident of getting two-third majority

After elections: They got whacked! Lost their two-thirds and 6 states including KL.

Before Permatang Pauh elections: We will bury Anwar and PKR!

After elections: Anwar got bigger majority...

Now they say BN will continue to rule, change of govt is a political lie.

Easy to guess what happens next, ain it?

Say No to ISA!!

Update 12.45 am: DAP's Teresa Kok  and Sin Chew's journalist have been detained under ISA

Reports have confirmed that Raja Petra the owner of Malaysia Today has been detained under the ISA.

By using the ISA, the govt has yet again shown that it fears bloggers. The excuse that Raja Petra had insulted islam is laughable. The real reason is to prevent Raja Petra from exposing more and more dirt on politicians and the govt. They fear the truth.

The Flame shall live on...

I've developed super-hearing powers

Its been 4 months since i've been initiated to parenthood. So far it has been quite natural and easy going. My lil EJ has been a good boy. Apart from the daily diaper change, feeding, layaning and entertaining EJ, i have developed super hearing powers:-

A toilet flush is loud.

Peeing in the toilet can also be loud.

A creaking door is loud

and i never knew i had a loud sneeze...

Fuel for thought

Some tips to save your daily costs.

1. Do you still buy newspapers? Why..when you get news from the internet. If you buy the Star everyday that comes up to RM8.40 per week, that adds to about RM36 a month. For this amount of money you can buy 13 litres of petrol.

2. Do you really need internet at home? Most of us use the internet at the workplace to blog and stuff. There's also free wifi at coffee places. Heck, even some mamak shops now offer free wifi. So, if you terminate your streamyx account you save about RM80 a month, that's about 30 litres of petrol.

3. Sign up for internet banking. You dont need to drive to the bank to do transactions unless you need to bank in cheques. There's a whole lotsa thing you can do from internet banking including paying bills, loans, credit cards etc.

4. Talking bout credits cards, its time to cut them up. Just stick to one for emergency use. Some might think, how can one live without credit cards? Well, i have stopped using credit cards since the past 5 years. The last i used the card was to pay for my wife's delivery recently.

5. Health insurance is more important than life insurance. Some might disagree with me on this one but i think you'll need all the help you can when you are hospitalised rather than when you're dead.

6. Do you really need Astro? huh? Of course i do! I cant live without Astro especially a footie junkie like me!

7. If you drive a big ass car like an Alphard, stream or 4WD...well, its time to go local or japanese. Myvi and Persona are relatively good cars, contrary to what you hear. Of course if you still want to "ada gaya", you might want to check out suzuki swift (my wife drives one).

8. Do you know that driving a manual car saves petrol compared to an auto transmission? Yeah, go manual la. To further save petrol dont drive tergesa-gesa. Try to maintain a cruising speed of 80-90km/h max.

9. If you're not the sweaty type, you can save more fuel by not using the car's aircon. But if on a highway and you're doing 120km/h dont bother turning off the aircon with your windows down as you'll burn more fuel caused by wind drag.

10. Do ensure your car's tyre pressure is maintained, preferrably every 2 weeks. Low tyre pressure may cause the car to burn more fuel.

11. If the oil prices keep going up and one day you'd have to pay RM5 per litre. Get a bicycle. ( I already have one)

Only he is right....

When I read Star Online today, I can't help but to recall others who have been victims of the old man's name calling.

On Karpal Singh - Clown

On Nazri Aziz - Hatchet man

On Anwar - Gay Jew

On Pak Lah - Tak malu

On KJ - siapa itu khairy?

Now...on Najib - Coward.

Will try to recall more.

She's a genius hooker

I'm sure most would have read bout child prodigy turned hooker Sufiah. If not you can go here for full story.

Almost all the local news papers carried the story on how the Govt wants to "help" her. There was also a story where some group wants to send some Ustad bloke to help her also.

My first reaction was....WTF!! She's not even Malaysian! She's a British citizen and so is her mom and siblings. Why we all pulak nak kecoh-kecoh to save her!? If she had chosen that way of life, she has her own reasons and she should be responsible and accountable for her own actions.

I think attention should be given to Malaysians who genuinely need help rather than to one hooker in the UK who's not even Malaysian.

Rise of the Rakyat

The People has spoken. Pak Lah tak kan tak paham-paham lagi. He should do the decent thing by resigning. If not he continues to be a liability to BN. This is the price BN paid for being arrogant.

I wonder if Hishamudin would raise the Keris again in Umno Assembly,

Khir Toyo dulu bagi penyapu...now rakyat penyapu selangor .

Samy Vellu...i told u so oredi macha.

Pak Lah...dengaq lah lagi cakap kj and budak2 tingkat 4.

Zainudin Maidin.....Aljazeera should interview him again.

So its the New Year..

So its the new year. Call me a spoilsport, boring or watever. I just cant understand why people want to celebrate the coming of a new year. Like those people who throng Dataran Merdeka, KLCC and One Utama. Isnt it just a hassle to be there, sandwiched among the crowd. Tak lemas ke.

And another thing I just cannot understand. I stay nearby the Curve, as early as 8pm, there was already a big jam heading to the Curve, and yet, people still wanna go through the jam just so to be at the Curve.

I remember back in my younger days when I was dating this girl. She so wanted to be at Dataran Merdeka when the clock strike at 12. I tried in vain to convince her that it would be troublesome to get in and out of Dataran Merdeka, but she insisted. So we first went out for dinner with some of her friends. It took us hours to find a restaurant which wasnt full. We managed to find one and that was already 10 pm. Had dinner and some unenjoyable small talk with the boring company. We were suppose to leave for Dataran 11pm. As we were paying for the bill, it was as if God was listening to me silently whining bout going to Dataran...He opened up the Heavens and it poured like hell. "Oh no! Now we cant go to Dataran!", she said. Putting on my rueful face I told her "We'll go next year k"

Well, we never did cos a day before Valentines day I broke up with her.....
